Hi I’m Sharlene, one of the owners of Magnum Door. I have always felt that we all should get involved and help in some small way to make this world a little better. Pay it forward. Sometimes just opening a door for someone, some kind words or a smile can be such a gift.
I have chosen to help rescued dogs, and the past 5 years I have been exercising abused rescued dogs every week. Exercising, socializing and helping them to reintegrate into society. Gaining trust from a dog that has none. It’s been quite a challenge and very rewarding.
Rufus was my first and it took 1 1/2 years to get him into shape for adoption. He was found roaming the streets of Surrey and in very bad shape, was picked up by the SPCA and then West Coast Rottweiler Rescue and Canine Harmony rescued him as the SPCA does not provide a service for adoption of this breed in circumstances such as this. Together they took this dog and gave him the opportunity for a new life. He is in his forever home since June of 2012 and very happy.
I am posting some of the beautiful places that are within 1 1/2 hour drive or less from the lower mainland and the dogs that really made the day fun and full of love….. Enjoy

Rufus never was able to get along with other dogs so he would only get out when I took him out so everything was new and exciting for him.. He loved running through these fields
Super Chick: She can do on 2 legs what some can not on 4. She is an inspiration to me and to all that gets the pleasure of her company. She always turns heads and people can not believe her happy outlook. She now resides with Super Dude another 2 legged dog. California is now her home.
